Southern Loggers Cooperative President Dave Cupp announced that the Board of Directors declared a patronage dividend for the year of 2010.  He stated that “$780,000 were paid to the qualifying members through their Capital Account and Cash payment.  Qualifying members are members who purchased products through the Cooperative in calendar year 2010.  Sixty per cent of their total dividend will be added to their existing Capital Account (held by the Cooperative in their name) and forty percent will be paid directly to them.

He stated that “The SLC is coming of age, meeting its commitment to the members by creating savings with discounts from national contracts.  The dividend rewards the members with additional savings”.  Executive Director Clyde Todd said that the checks were mailed in August.
