Southern Loggers
Our Story

In October 2004, a group of business leaders formed Southern Loggers Cooperative to fight rising costs for rural trades.

By pooling member buying power, we negotiate better pricing on fuel, parts, services, and equipment.

Today we serve loggers, haulers, farmers, and ranchers with practical solutions that protect margins and preserve independence.

quote
In 2004, a small group of loggers with a vision to aggregate demand for fuel and other items formed the Southern Logger’s Coop (SLC). The foundational goal of the buying coop was to cut the cost of doing business for loggers. Starting with one lone station in Winnfield, Louisiana in 2005, today with thirty-three stations across the South selling over 1,000,000 gallons per week. It was a journey of experimentation, scars, wins, learning and perseverance. The member owned SLC is an American success story which continues to grow and the mission has never wavered or changed. Saving money on purchases by consolidating the buying power of over 6,000 members continues to be job one.
